Have you ever found yourself sitting in front of your computer, looking at Facebook, Twitter or another social networking site and as you typed thought something along the lines of “am I doing it right?” or “is what I’m writing going to bring me in more business?”.
Well today I spent most of the day learning the answers to these very questions and much more besides.
The subjects covered in the Social Media workshop I attended today covered, in no particular order; the history of the internet as we know it, the top 10 rules of selling, the ideal marketing mission, branding online, the three C’s (bet you want to know what they are!), long tail marketing and a short and sharp guide to SEO (Search Engine Optimisation), plus lots more… I have over 30 pages of notes!
For me this was a great day out. I love learning new things, especially when it helps both my own business and also enables me to help my customers too.
I bet you’re wondering – how does this help you?
Well it means that here at Holistic Directory HQ we will be working hard to utilise the tools I learned today to tighten up our social media strategy and make sure we’re doing as much as we can to ensure we are giving our Members the best possible chance of being found online when people search for a particular service.
This is pretty exciting stuff for us and great for you, our Elite Members, too as when our hits go up so do yours and you don’t have to lift a finger… unless you want to give your own social presence even more of a boost by joining the conversation.
We’re always looking for ways to add even more value to our visitors and members and are currently working on a variety of ways to help our Business Members by adding some great hints and tips on how to get the most from your own social networking along with other great business tips.
For this we need your help. What specific questions would you like answered? Perhaps something to do with running your business, marketing plans, goal setting, time management, social media strategy or something else? Get in touch by emailing your question to Sophie at email@example.com or even better reply to this or one of our Facebook posts (and begin the conversation!) and we will endeavor to answer your question as soon as possible and notify you once it’s online to view.
That’s it for now – have a great week and I’ll look forward to reading all the great questions!
